Team Jentsch (Driendl) from Germany wins second Riga International Curling Challenge

Team Jentsch (Driendl) from Germany (Pia-Lisa Schöll, Josephine Obermann, Analena Jentsch, Daniela Jentsch and Coach Thomas Lips) started tournament in group B and finished there with 3-0 win-loss record. In their first game they beat Team Bērziņa (Latvia-2) 5-2, then won team Kauste (Finland-2) 7-6 and in last group game beat team Lundman (Sweden) with result 9-7. This gave 2nd place in overall ranking and team Kauste (Finland-2) in quarterfinals. Already for second time in this tournament germans were stronger. Again 7-6 win in quarterfinals gave them team Mölder (Estonia) as opponents in semis. In the final game team Jentsch (Driendl) from Germany had a great key-shot (triple) and beat team Maillard (Switzerland-2). Final result 3-2. Congratulations!

Third place goes to team Mölder (Estonia) which won team Pavlyuchik (Belarus). Result 6-4.
